Effort Class
Effort classes are used to add an additional classification to time entries that can be used to influence the cost of time spent calculations. When an effort class is selected for a time entry, the cost of effort is calculated automatically by multiplying the time spent (in hours) by the cost per hour of the person who spent the time, and multiplying this using the cost multiplier specified in the effort class.
When the time entries are used to charge back customer organizations for which time was spent, the effort classes can also be used by an integration with a billing system to calculate the correct invoice amounts.
Only a person who has the Account Administrator role or the Directory Administrator role of an account can maintain the effort classes of that account.
The Effort Class Fields page provides field utilization guidelines for each field of the Effort Class form.
